Portable Hot Tubs - Your Flexible Friends!

The best thing about portable hot tubs is just that. Wherever you go, they go!

They’re not as expensive as regular hot tubs and you can even buy models which you can store away when you´re not using them. If you're not sure of the type of portable hot tub you're looking for, just take a look at what's on offer online. There are tubs to suit all budgets, from very simple models to more high-tech tubs with a multitude of features.

These days, you´ll see a number of portable hot tubs which are made using a process called Rotational Molding, or roto-molding. This process produces an incredibly strong and durable yet easily moveable material for your tub, without compromising on quality. One of the great things about portable hot tubs is that when you want to make changes in your garden or back yard, you can do it easily. If your hot tub doesn´t fit in with your design plans in the spot you currently have it, then just move it somewhere else! This wouldn´t be quite so easy if you had a built-in tub. If you wanted to move one of those, it would require a considerable amount of work, time and expense.

You shouldn´t need to hire any tradesmen to help with installing your portable hot tub either. There´ll be no digging of huge holes and no workmen tramping across your lawn. Most portable tubs will plug straight into your electricity supply and can be filled using a hose. You could be relaxing in your tub before you know it - it´s that quick and that easy!

Another great feature to consider is that during the colder months, you can move your tub just outside your back door, or even inside your house if you want to! The size and weight of most portable hot tubs means that you can move them around with   minimum effort with the help of a small cart and a willing friend, particularly the roto-molded models, which are very easily manoeuvrable.

Of course, if you're thinking of selling your property sometime in the future, you've got the best of both worlds if you have a hot tub. If your prospective buyer wants to keep the tub as a feature, then you can add the cost of it onto your bottom line, but if they don't like it -no worries! Just tell your buyer that it's not a permanent fixture and you'll be taking it with you when you move.

Depending on the type of portable hot tub you're looking for, you can expect to spend anything from $1,000.00 to in excess of $10,000. Whichever model you choose though, bear in mind that if you were having the equivalent model as a regular, built-in tub, you'd be looking at paying a lot more than this.

Another benefit of portable tubs is that they're relatively low-maintenance. The acrylic models are very easy to keep clean and contain no parts which will perish due to exposure to all weather conditions. Portable tubs are completely self-contained units, which means that all the working, component parts are together in one easily accessible place. And they're easy to keep clean. You only need to use small amounts of chemicals to keep the water clean but these days, many portable hot tubs are supplied with something called an ozonator which uses the same technology as that which is used to purifly drinking water. It's easy to change the water in your portable tub too, so you never need worry about it being anything but clean and fresh.

Whilst many people consider portable hot tubs as luxury items, they can also benefit your health. As if relaxing in warm water, being massaged by soothing jets wasn't enough, a session in your hot tub can soothe aching muscles and joints, reduce stress and promote feelings of well-being. See how well you sleep after a soak in your tub!

On the downside, some hot tubs, particularly some of the inflatable models, are not as durable as solid body tubs, which means that it´s debatable as to how long they´ll last. Although they provide the convenience of being able to store them away when you´re not using them, the material from which they´re made could crack or tear from constant folding and unfolding, depending on how much they get used.

Whatever your reasons for considering a purchase of a portable hot tub, take your time in making your choice. There are numerous models out there - just make sure you find the one that's perfect for you!
